By teaming up with Polygon, Xaya-powered games will be more easily accessible to a wider audience and scalability can take place on a grander scale without the issue of Ethereum’s sky-high gas fees, which has already proved to be detrimental to the industry and forced many blockchain games to seek solutions elsewhere.
In addition to the Xaya blockchain, Autonomous Worlds will also integrate Xaya into Polygon’s Ethereum-compatible sidechain and develop games in-house for the Polygon platform, adding to its existing selection of premier blockchain games such as Taurion and Soccer Manager Elite.
“We’re excited to bring our vision of deep economics and complex gameplay to the Polygon blockchain,” said Xaya co-founder Andy Colosimo. “Following the growth of DeFi and NFTs, we believe blockchain gaming will be the next big opportunity to take blockchain mass market. Our partnership with Polygon will only accelerate that trend.”
Polygon is currently one of the leading platforms for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development, using Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building and connecting Secured Chains. Xaya is an open-source permissionless blockchain focused on scalability using cutting-edge technologies to build fully immersive games with unlimited capabilities.
