Due to arrive at the end of June, X-POP is the culmination of two years’ hard slog. The platform boasts 200 teams of K-POP artists, 100 games, and its own native token $XPOP. Furthermore, X-POP will flood the market with pre-minted works specially prepped for the launch.
The key focus is to support the growth of the already massive K-POP industry. However, this is not limited to overworked, attractive Korean adolescents. The X-POP platform contains three distinct categories:
X-POP Music Service governs the sale of K-POP music and merchandise and manages community awards for artists and fans.
X-POP Webtoon Service focuses in bringing K-Webtoon content to the platform.
X-POP Game Service has partnered with over 100 mobile games to bring NFT trading to their titles.
The XPOP project promises a fair profit share system to aid the development of the entertainment industry and transparent transactions among the stakeholders. Each member can participate in the governance of the X-POP community.
Was the advent of a Korean K-POP-centric marketplace inevitable? Yes. Will it be swamped by the fervent zeal of its intimidating fan-base? Only time will tell.
