“The Underground Sistine Chapel.” the galaxy’s first (probably) crypto-funded film is sticking to its blockchain roots and offering 200 NFTs prior to release.
The two hundred NFTs represent rare cards, director’s cuts and, early access tickets for the production. According to sources, the exclusive content is available via a private sale on Minty.Art from until Sunday June 27th.
The film is the brainchild of famed Parisian graffiti artist Pascal Boyart (PBOY) and follows the exploits of a band of merry artists as they work to reproduce the famous Italian frescoes. To a collective end, they transform an abandoned gold foundry in an “impoverished” Parisian suburb into a modern Sistine chapel. And by modern we mean copy, Michelangelo’s famed doodles have been faithfully recreated on the back wall of the dilapidated building.
Additionally, PBOY himself is running his own NFT sale on OpenSea. The sale offers 400 stills from the mural that would make curators of the real “Sistine Chapel” raise their eyebrows. Each NFT represents a different character from the “Last Judgement” fresco. As such, the main man “Jesus” is currently listed for 2 ETH. Furthermore, other notable biblical characters such as “Mary”, and “Sibyl” are also making a showing.
The documentary will debut on Sunday, 27th June 2021 and is available for free on YouTube and InterPlanetary File System (IPFS).
