Top blockchain gaming project, previously known as “Tron Game Center,” has changed its name and moved from the Tron blockchain. The game is now called Pandemic Multiverse and has migrated to Enjin’s gas-free and eco-friendly JumpNet blockchain.
The team decided to move the game for several reasons, one of them being Enjin’s ERC-1155 token standard. The token standard will facilitate the easy integration of the game network’s NFTs into multiple games offered by Pandemic.
The company is currently working on two games called Pandemic Shooter and Pandemic Space Combat. These games will be available on Ethereum, Polkadot, JumNet, and Efinity.
“We chose to move to Enjin because it has more of a gaming focus, where Tron is more populated with casinos,” stated Andreas Hennersdorf, CEO of Pandemic Multiverse. “The usability of Enjin’s API is tremendous. We managed to completely integrate JumpNet before we even had time to reach out to the team.”
The open Beta launch for Pandemic Shooter took place a few days ago, and the game is available in six modes; Capture the Flag, demolition cover point, gun race, deathmatch, and free for all. Players can start completing weekly challenges to earn $ENJ. Pandemic Space Combat is set to launch in Q3 of 2021, and it will feature four game modes; Space invader, Capital ship combat, Free flight, and Enemy wave.
