The world’s largest, and arguably grandest of all art galleries, “The State Hermitage Museum,” has launched its first-ever NFT exhibition. Existing entirely within the virtual sphere, “Invisible Aether” enables art lovers to interact for free via PC, Smartphone and VR clients.
The epic display of artistic mastery takes place in a metaverse-style open world, where guests create an avatar before exploring the curated showpieces. None of the works on display are for sale, with value deliberately ignored. As such, the exhibition represents an experiment to gauge genuine interest in the NFT artistic sphere.
On display is a myriad of exceptional digital talent, including contributions from Hackatao, Cryptokitties, Larva Labs, Kevin McCoy and much more. Delve into the virtual world and see the incredible works for yourselves. Following the exhibition, all items are “returned” to their respective owners.
Making this all possible, is a vast collaboration of organizations such as Hermitage, Ahead.io, the Aksenov Family Foundation, Masters Digital, and Snark.art. The exceptional exhibition is live now, and will run until December 10. The popularity of which will determine whether Hermitage will run further exhibitions in the future. So, jump on in and make your presence count.
