NFT trading card colossus Splinterlands has launched a huge overhaul of its rental mechanics. Now, would-be battlers can put together a devastating deck with relatively small financial outlay.
The game has broken new ground with a revolutionary new rental system. The benefits are two-fold, collectors can earn additional income by renting out cards, and on-boarders can now play without breaking the bank.
Even though card rental is not a new concept within the Splinterlands ecosystem, the much-needed upgrade has taken the pain away from the process. Now streamlined and user-friendly, users can be rent cards on a daily basis in exchange for Dark Energy Crystals.
The potential is there for studious researchers to build a formidable deck with a relatively small outlay of funds. With a liberal application of cunning, and a slathering of guile, a wily card shark could theoretically reap rewards greater than the sum of their rental costs.
The new update marks the end of a turbulent few days for the folks over at Splinterlands. Earlier in the week saw the team receive a controversial ban within the Twitter-sphere. Thankfully, the community was on hand to steer them through the crisis and Twitter were persuaded to reconsider their actions. Splinterlands has responded by showing its heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support shown by the community.
