Splinterlands, a blockchain-based collectible card game, has just started the first round of Brave Tournaments. There are a series of twelve BAT Tournaments in Splinterlands and players from every level can compete to win prizes. Brave is sponsoring the tournaments with approximately $5,000 worth of prizes.
The tournaments will be running throughout the month of March and in the first week of April. There are three different league levels each with their own prize pool – Bronze, Gold and Champion. The first tournament is the Bronze Challenge with $100 in prizes, then the Gold Challenge with $400 in prizes, and finally the Champion Challenge with $750 in prizes.
To participate, players need to hold a certain amount of BAT tokens for each level in their Ethereum wallet address. The prizes are given out in Dark Energy Crystals (DEC), the in-game token of Splinterlands.
Brave are makers of the innovative Brave browser which combines privacy with the BAT (Basic Attention Token) blockchain-based digital advertising platform. Last year Brave and Splinterlands partnered together and the Brave browser became the official browser of Splinterlands. Users can also use their BAT directly in the Splinterlands game to purchase credits.
