Self-styled “world’s premier destination for art and luxury,” Sotheby’s, have announced their latest NFT sale dubbed “Natively Digital.” Eager not to be outdone by rivals “Christie’s”, who recently auctioned 9 Cryptopunks for a paltry $US 17 Million, the Sotheby’s sale will feature works by some of the NFT world’s greatest talents.
The auction will commence at 10AM EDT on June 3rd, and features 28 unique NFT artworks. The diverse range of digital creations includes items from Larvalabs’ famed Autoglyph and Cryptopunk collections, as well as works by acclaimed digital artists Fvckrender, Mad Dog Jones and many more.
The final lot of the sale is as yet undetermined. In a bid to curry favour with the NFT community, Sotheby’s is allowing community members to vote for their favourite NFT artist. Sotheby’s will include the top-rated artist in the auction. To nominate an artist, follow the instructions here.
Let’s hope Sotheby’s get this one right, and don’t draw the ire of the NFT community like their compatriots did.
