Prestigious fine art auction house, Sotheby’s, is back with its second dedicated NFT extravaganza. Dubbed “Natively Digital 1.2: The Collectors,” the event will focus on works amassed by some of the most prominent figures in the NFT industry.
This latest installation of Natively Digital will run for one week, from October 18 until October 26. As such, a multitude of notable collectors (19) will take part in the event, carefully selecting items from their digital vaults. NFT royalty involved include collector 888, FingerprintsDAO, Paris Hilton and the mighty WhaleShark. The latter of which has pledged to use proceeds to fund further purchases, and provide liquidity to the native token, $WHALE.
As a result of all this, a grand total of 53 NFT masterpieces will go under the hammer. These will range from Hackatao and X-COPY originals to Bored Apes and MoonCats collectibles. Something for every consummate collector, Sotheby’s will release the full list of assets prior to the event.
Back in June, the first Natively Digital event took place to much fanfare, and as a result, some of the greatest NFTs changed hands for incredible sums. All-in-all, it raised a massive $17.1 million from 28 different lots. A figure that is notable as being half of the number on offer at the next sale.
