Pimptronot, a world-renowned EDM music producer and multimedia artist, announced the launch of his NFT VR gallery drop titled ‘The Museum of Modern Pimptronot – Double Head.’ The NFT video is a virtual gallery within a contemporary virtual museum and features 48 NFT artworks. The collection is set to the bass pumping backdrop of Pimptronot’s song ‘In The Zone,’ an ironic fist-pumping beat.
The two-minute long video starts with a drone view of the gallery and progressively leads the viewer inside and around the massive, modern gallery filled with astonishing animated artworks. The price is quite a bold move, 400 ETH ($872,684.00 at the time of writing), and it includes unlockable content. Will Pimptronot manage to sell it for this price without being known in the the NFT community? He certainly appears to be a big supporter of the space.
“This is the future of art,” stated Pimptronot in a press release, “A virtual art gallery is an interactive experience that can take many forms. We’re seeing that on digital platforms it’s effective in the building of art communities which is vital. It’s also an eco-friendly and cost-effective way of complementing a traditional gallery or museum.”
Pimptronot also recently released his humanitarian NFT ‘Salvator Mundi‘ (Savior of the World) to attract a buyer to help the homeless in NYC. The artwork is valued at 260,000 ETH and is yet to be sold.
