Celebrities aren’t the only ones walking the red carpet at this year’s Oscars Academy Awards – NFTs are also making an appearance alongside the top nominees in five different categories. Isaac Rudnasky, CEO and Founder of AdVenture Media, made an announcement on the social platform Twitter, that 25 Oscar nominees will be gifted an NFT by “the world’s most insanely popular CryptoArtists.” The nominee NFT awards project was created by NominEth, AdVenture, Metaversal, and Rarible.
The artists featured in the exclusive NFT project are some of the top names in the industry such as Jack Butcher, Prince Osinachi, Daniel Popper, Lirona, Shaylin Wallace, Jon Noorlander, celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito, and Andre Osheo. Each nominee will receive a physical golden ticket in their “Everyone Wins” swag bag, produced independently by Distinctive Assets. Nominees can also claim their NFT by using the unique code printed on their ticket and their ethereum wallet address.
There will also be a special NFT auction for an artwork by Andre Oshea in honour of the late Chadwick Boseman, best known for his role as King T’Challa in the 2018 film Black Panther. Proceeds from the Boseman tribute NFT will go to the Colon Cancer Foundation.
There might be a dip in NFT sales as of recently, but the popularity of NFTs is certainly not dipping.
