In-the-works NFT marketplace “OneOf” is currently making waves with its promise of zero minting fees and environmental credentials. The music-focused platform aims to simplify the NFT creation process and make it accessible for everyday users.
The project is in collaboration with legendary record producer and NFT ambassador Quincy Jones, and has recently secured $63 million in funding. Furthermore, it will launch on the Tezos blockchain this summer.
The remit is simple, make NFTs easier and more affordable for both the creators and the fans. A user-friendly interface is in development that accepts both credit cards and crypto payments. As a result, grandma can spend her bingo winnings and complete her Megadeth collection from the comfort of her lazy boy armchair.
Utilising the Tezos blockchain to avoid high gas fees, OneOf claims it can mint NFTs using two million times less energy than the Ethereum equivalent. This will allow artists to list their works on the blockchain with zero minting fees.
No slow pokes, they already have high-profile artists such as Whitney Houston and John Legend preparing collections for the platform.
