Mintable Adds Credit Card Payments to its Marketplace

One of the stumbling blocks facing the NFT marketplace is that Crypto payments are required for anything blockchain related. Grandma can’t buy that Crypto Punk if she thinks “Ethereum” is one of her daily medicines. So what is she to do?

The mainstream public considers blockchain so complicated, Hollywood references it in lieu of an unfathomable scientific explanation. So, what can we do to help these technophobes?

The folks over at Mintable have provided a solution. Everyone’s favourite plastic rectangle, the credit card has arrived to the platform. Paving the way for mass adoption, now anyone with a regular bank account can purchase that NFT they didn’t know they wanted.

The process is simple, just find the NFT you can’t live without, click on the “buy with credit card” option, and follow the online instructions. Transactions are processed at lightning speed (15 minutes).

You do still require a crypto-wallet however, otherwise where are you going to store your beloved NFTs. Try explaining that to Grandma.

The new payment option is already live on the marketplace, so go give it a whirl. Now that Mintable offers both gas free minting and credit card payments, what next from the NFT marketplace trailblazers?

Mintable is keen to stress that they do not have access to any card information, which is stored by a licensed and regulated financial body.
