Axie Infinity On the Cover of The Business Times
As we all know, Axie Infinity has been the star of the show in the past month, and is not slowing down anytime soon! An article on the mechanics of play-to-earn was featured in The Business Times, and Axie made it to the front cover. The article comes with a catchy and provocative subtitle: “Are play-to-earn games a fair gig in the digital economy or low-wage exploitation?”
South China Morning Post Features Their Partnership with The Sandbox
One of the biggest mainstream media news this week was The Sandbox’s partnership with the 114 year-old news publication the South China Morning Post (SCMP). The article also talks about SCMP’s new NFT standard called ARTIFACT. SCMP is working on building educational video games in The Sandbox, where users can interact with various ARTIFACTs, much like walking through a virtual museum or theme park.
Zed Run Video Featured on CNBC
The super fun virtual horse racing game, Zed Run, has also been making headlines recently. CNBC featured an almost three minute long video on the game. The video covers what the game is about, why many people are investing in it, and the recent $20 million Series A funding round with the participation of VC firms like Andreessen Horowitz and Red Beard Ventures.
CryptoArtists Featured on Tokyo Billboard
This is not directly related to media news coverage, however, it is worth highlighting. In New York and Miami there’s been quite a bit of marketing of NFT projects and art on billboards, and now with the support of SuperRare, a number of high-profile CryptoArtists and their works were recently displayed on a billboard in Tokyo.
