Everyone is talking about whether or not NFTs are a bubble due to the recent explosion of NFT mania, and if so, when will it pop. But, right now there are no signs of the hype dying down. In fact, former Disney star, Lindsay Lohan, is at it again. In February she announced her first NFT on Rarible, and now she is releasing new NFTs on the TRON blockchain. Her new NFTs will be auctioned off on March 20.
Lindsay Lohan previously sold an album cover NFT with a decentralization theme, as well as a Daft Punk NFT worth $15,000 in ETH. Turns out Lohan is also a huge fan of Justin Sun’s TRON network. In February she praised the platform on Twitter for its “super fast and 0 fee.”
Founder of TRON and CEO of BitTorrent, Justin Sun, gave a warm welcome to Lindsay Lohan:
“We welcome the launch of JUST.FAN and Lindsay’s NFT on the TRON blockchain…Lindsay is a true icon and has been very vocal about crypto, blockchain adoption and NFT’s. I’m looking forward to an exciting discussion with her this Thursday.”
Unlike Ethereum, which still uses Proof-of-Work (PoW), TRON is based on Proof-of-Stake (PoS), making it cheaper and faster to use. Lohan’s new NFTs will be based on the TRC721 protocol and released on TRON’s new buyers’ hub. The hub is more than just a marketplace for NFTs, but also allows for fans to interact with creators through social and gamified activities.
