Big news from the folks at “My Metaverse”, not only is the “Metacity: Minecraft” server now online, but they have also introduced free real-estate NFTs for players.
A total of 70 real-estate NFTs are available on the server, purchased using the in-game currency “Capitol Coins.” You can earn coins by battling the hoards within the game’s “First Blood” arena.
The NFTs are dynamic in nature, meaning that they evolve alongside the user’s in-game progress. So, not only do you own the land as an NFT, but also any creations you build on it, effectively rewarding your in-game construction expertise. Furthermore, more worlds with more real-estate are planned, so don’t be dismayed if you miss out first time around.
To purchase a piece of land, first you must amass the required number of coins. Then, locate your piece of prime real estate. And finally, type “property buy” into the chat. The NFT will transfer to your crypto wallet upon a successful transaction.
The NFTs are stored and are viewable in any ERC-1155 blockchain wallet and via explorers like EnjinX. Additionally, the real-estate NFT provides full ownership rights of game progression, allowing the owner to trade it via an online exchange.
MyMetaverse is a carbon negative gaming platform that has so far in 2021 removed 4 times more carbon from the atmosphere than it has produced. Consequently, making it the world’s most environmentally friendly gaming platform despite the use of NFTs.
