Omni-present god of the digital world, Google, has cut a deal with blockchain entrepreneurs, Dapper Labs. As such, the Google Cloud branch of operations will provide the infrastructure required to power their Web 3.0 future.
Dapper Labs has reported unprecedented traffic in recent months, recording between 500k and a million transactions per week. With this in mind, they are in need of the tools required to scale up their operations. Therefore, the Google Cloud team have stepped in to supercharge the system.
Google see this as the prime opportunity to join the Web 3.0 revolution in its early stages. Conversely, the alliance will provide Dapper Labs with the scaling solution required to take their Flow network to the next level, and will additionally provide rapid and sustainable growth to the project.
Despite not permitting mining operations on their platform, Google will provide the means for developers to select the regions that power their systems. This means, that projects have the ability to choose regions based upon power consumption, easily managing the burden on servers worldwide.
Dapper Labs are the team behind two of the blockchain’s hottest properties, NBA Top Shot and CryptoKitties. Now, the 2000 developers currently operating on the Flow network have access nodes via Google’s full suite of cloud services.
