As the NFT revolution goes from strength to strength, more and more institutions are joining the fold. Now it’s the turn of bastion to the art world, Frieze, as they return to Los Angeles for their ‘Viewing Room’ exhibition.
The epic event sees 47 leading galleries throughout Los Angeles contribute to the celebration of all things art. New to the event this time around however, is the introduction of a curated digital art and NFT component.
This all-new digital gallery will receive curation by art director Venus Lau, and feature commissioned works by acclaimed artists such as Liu Chuang, Nik Kosmas, Peng Ke, Aaajiao and Lu Yang. Following the exhibition, all digital artworks will be available for purchase via the RNDR platform.
RDNR is a Los Angeles-based blockchain company and 3D marketplace developed by OTOY. RDNR leverages layer 2 technology to reduce the impact on the planet, so prospective buyers can be safe in the knowledge that their NFTs have a greatly reduced carbon footprint.
The Frieze Viewing Room – Los Angeles, is a city-wide program, and will run from July 27 until August 1. This is the fourth iteration of the event, and the addition of the digital gallery shows a great deal of confidence in the use of NFTs.
