Welcome to CryptoArt Sundays everyone! This week I bring to you a superstar illustrator called Diela Maharanie. She is a visual artist and illustrator based in Indonesia, and her works are typically characterized by bright and colorful vibrant patterns, with super saturated hues but also hint a mystery for the character.
Maharanie’s colors and patterns comes across in dreamy illustrations and ethereal imagery. Her illustration, paintings and embroidery works have been showed in several exhibitions across the world. She has worked with clients such as Instagram, Apple music, Adidas, Intel, Whatsapp, and more.
Now let’s dive in and find out more about her NFT journey!
How did you find out about the NFT space, and what attracted you to create your own NFTs?
I found out about NFTs first from Clubhouse, I randomly joined a room where artists talk about NFTs and curious about it, I was attracted to the idea that digital works can be authenticated on the blockchain and the royalty system for artists’ works, also just to secure my username in the space.
How often do you create?
I draw almost everyday and for NFTs I mint at least once a week, but now I’m taking a break every now and then as the NFT space pace is so fast, hard to catch up with everything, and a reminder to myself to do things at my own pace.
What is your creative process?
I use to sketch on my iPad using Procreate, then do the coloring both on Procreate and Photoshop.
Are there any CryptoArtists you would love to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with artists and animators.
What do you think the future of CryptoArt will look like?
CryptoArt is definitely the future and I’m also curious to see how it will develop.
What are you currently working on?
I’m working on my next 1/1s and also working on my new collection on OpenSea.
Where can collectors find your work?
You can find my work on Foundation, KnownOrigin, OpenSea, and Hicetnunc here.
