Welcome to CryptoArt Sundays! This week we have a super cool artist onboard, who creates art in a totally different way – through collages! That’s something I personally find fascinating and even though I’m not an artist, I would love to one day try mixing and blending different pieces to create something. I really love this style of art. If you haven’t come across him on NFT Twitter yet, I’m taking about Coverartguy.
His latest drop, ‘Doors to the Unknown,’ took place earlier this week, so make sure to check out his latest work on OpenSea. We discuss this further on in the interview. I highly recommend scrolling through Coverartguy’s amazing portfolio here, and also checking out his Instagram page for some extreme aesthetic pleasure.
Now let’s dive in and see what his experience has been with the CryptoArt space so far!
How did you find out about the NFT space and what attracted you to create your own NFTs?
I think I originally found NFTs via artists on Twitter, it instantly appealed to me as a game changer for artists to create a revenue stream through their work. Since then it’s been a great way to build community with likeminded creatives and collectors.
How often do you create?
I (try) to create every day but that isn’t always sustainable, every week at the very least though!
What is your creative process?
As I’m working with collage it varies quite a lot depending on the source material I’m starting with and I try change the process up as much as possible to keep it fresh.
It could start with a color palette in mind or a main subject or some lyrics from a song I recently listened to as inspiration. Anything really, from there I try to expand on that idea and experiment with the form of the collage, experimentation is the biggest part probably.
Are there any CryptoArtists you would love to collaborate with?
What do you think the future of CryptoArt will look like?
I’m not sure honestly but I’m excited to find out, it’s been changing/shaping constantly but it all seems to be going in a good direction. The thing I’ve loved about the NFT space is artists are winning and if that dynamic continues that’s the main thing.
What are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on a 5 piece series for OpenSea. I’ll be sharing information on my Twitter over the next week or so! I’m also always adding to my Textural Collage collection on OpenSea which has been amazing so far.
Where can collectors find your work?
My Textural Collage collection can be found on OpenSea, and any information for new drops/collection news will be posted on my Twitter page.
