Welcome to CryptoArt Sundays everyone! This week I am excited to introduce you to the talented Anna Lang. She is an incredible illustrator, graphic designer and art director hailing from Hungary but based in Sardinia, Italy.
I love her dreamy artworks that have that surreal, other-worldly feel to them. Anna is now working as an illustrator with several publishing houses, but previously worked for various agencies in Milan and Budapest.
Now let’s dive in and find out more about her journey in the NFT space so far!
How did you find out about the NFT space, and what attracted you to create your own NFTs?
I heard about the NFT world and cryptocurrencies from a friend who already was into it, he’s a VR enthusiast. It sounded really interesting but also hard and risky, so I wanted to learn and know more about it.
I started gathering information, mainly on Twitter, and get to know the community better. It turned out this community is full of wonderful people and wonderful artists sharing their art, experience and knowledge. So I decided to give it a go.
I already had some ideas but couldn’t decide, so I started working on some concepts and tested out their worth by sharing some work in progress, and ask for feedback from the community. Big surprise for me, the feedback was actually good, so that’s how my adventure basically started!
How often do you create?
Out of the NFT space I’m a children’s book illustrator, so I created every day even before getting into the NFTs. I’m drawing since I was a kid, I can’t really imagine my normal daily routine without it.
What is your creative process?
It’s a very simple process, I decide the concept and I make a quick research for references, then sketch, line art, coloring, lighting. I usually use Procreate, and sometimes I finish it in Photoshop. If it’s a personal work and I know I’m free to experiment I start to play with it, try new brushes, tools, effects.
Are there any CryptoArtists you would love to collaborate with?
Oh yes, there are so many amazing artists here, and I could imagine infinite interesting combinations of our styles!
What do you think the future of CryptoArt will look like?
It’s very difficult to say, but I hope the community will remain the same, positive and supportive, connected by their art.
What are you currently working on?
I already have some other pieces ready for minting, I can’t wait to show them!
Where can collectors find your work?
My NFTs are minted on Foundation.
