Fans of the “Crazy Chicken,” Moorhuhn, can now own the very first generation gfx files of the titular character from the popular poultry assassination franchise as an NFT.
Moorhuhn is a popular chicken maiming simulation, originally sponsored by run of the mill whiskey provider Johnnie Walker. Hugely popular in the German speaking world, the franchise has accumulated more than 30 sequels and spin offs.
The NFT on sale harks back to the very genesis of the character. As such, it’s the first ever rendering of the rooster we know today. Titled “RAW: The Original Moorhuhn,” the image was created by popular digital artist Ingo Mesche in 1992 and pre-dates the first use of the character by six years.
The work will be auctioned off by the NFT agency Visionary Art. The open-ended auction will commence on the OpenSea marketplace on July 2nd.
Going forward, artist Ingo Meshe intends to release further imagery from the popular franchise, coupled with secret designs and mystery bonuses.
“Ingo Mesche looks back to a wide range of projects with clients ranging from NASA to UNICEF and invented the initial graphics for a video game character with more than 100 Mio downloads. With a strong background in Demoscene, Ingo is a well-known character in the gaming and digital art space for decades. The artist’s life’s work consists of an interesting range of genres due to his versatile skill set, while his constant creative output is impressing people around the globe until today.”
