Art aficionados across the metaverse are gearing up for Decentraland’s annual homage to all things art.
The 10-day spectacle will commence at 8PM UTC on July 8. To kick things off, Vegas City is hosting a grand Block Party where 100 artist-built galleries will take over the area, showcasing some of the finest artistic endeavours in the metaverse. There will also be live DJs on hand to provide an epic soundtrack to proceedings.
Later in the evening, transport yourselves to the Lobsteropolis, and witness the “Lobster King” himself, Philip Colbert, collaborate with 80s pop icons Devo and the B52s. Then head back to Vegas City to party until the cows come home.
And that’s just day one. Throughout the ten days, expect galleries, museum openings, NFT sales, music and much more. Every day will see a unique and spectacular event featuring the likes of Boxhead, Hackatao and appearances from top KnownOrigin artists.
All this builds up to a magnificent after party commencing on the final day at 8pm UTC on July 18. The event is thrown by legendary street artists the Graffiti Kings and featuring music by the “master of house” DJ James Parkes, and former frontman of The Shamen, Mr C.
All in all, Art Week is shaping up to be the biggest, grandest and most diverse event in Decentraland’s illustrious history.
