Following in the footsteps of the “Bored Ape Yacht Club,” the “Gutter Cat Gang” just dropped their three thousand NFT avatar-based collectibles. And, news from the grapevine reports the entire collection sold out in under ten minutes.
The feisty felines launched through the Gutter Cat website and sold on OpenSea. Each was sold for a reported 0.7 ETH. Furthermore, each cat is procedurally created from a list of 123 different components, each representing a different level of rarity. The rough and ready kitties are additionally supported by a strong community, with owners of the furry collectibles given access to an exclusive club.
Teething problems abound, some collectors believed the launch would occur “hilariously” at 4:20. Whereas, fans logging on at this time were dismayed to find the collection was already sold out. Despite these hiccups however, the grand scheme was deemed a success.
The Gutter Cats are hat wearing feral felines inhabiting a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The year is 2050, and humans have abandoned the planet. Consequently, cats have improbably filled the people-shaped void left behind.
Crudely drawn cartoons are all the rage at the moment after seeing the rise of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, and now the Gutter Cats. Where will this end? We honestly have no idea. But we’ll be there for the ride.
