Last year saw one hundred of the world’s finest digital artists gather together and set a task. The challenge was to create a metaphorical representation of themselves within the NFT space. The pieces were subsequently taken by art director DurkAtWork and transformed into digital NFT sculptures. The resulting works are the Artifex Project.
Portrayed, among other things, as ghostly apparitions and cybernetic humanoids, the project is a representation of the spirits that inhabit NFT space, resulting in an artist’s impression of the realm within the metaverse.
Additionally, each Artifex piece is accompanied by its own custom gallery room via RareRooms, and is accessible via mobile, web and VR. Tailored specifically for the Artifex Project, each room allows for the showcasing of five artwork NFTs. Not restricted to Artifex creations however, thanks to an intuitive interface, the gallery can display any NFT artwork in your collection.
Each sculpture is a /NFT, 67 of which are available as editions. The remaining 33 are reserved as gifts and for a future project index fund.
Items from within the Artifex project are currently on display in RareRooms.io, where the digital sculptures and the original artworks are viewed together.
